Leeds, Walkabout

wow. what an experience. i went into Walkabout, Leeds today to get some food and was i surprised. the staff were friendly, i got table service, the food was great, and it was cheap. i will be coming back again.

All Walkabout did for me was confirm that nights out in Leeds are just costly and rubbish! Bouncers thought I was selling glow sticks when I was giving them away for free!

Each time I've been to Walkabout in Leeds there has been a dodgy tribute band (I'm pretty certain it's the same band each time) performing covers of 'rock' classics by Guns n Roses and the like. The client le is a mixed bag ranging from students to local thirty somethings all out for a cheap night, and the atmosphere can pick up towards the latter end of the night.

Good fun if you're after a no nonsense cheese-fest and don't mind being hit on a range of harmless drunken idiots.. however if it's sophistication that you want then steer well clear.
