Worst Musical Ever!

This production was the worst musical. The singing was terrible. lead singer sounded like he was shouting! Sound was "off" all night. Acting was awful-High school drama club could of done a better job! The dancing was bad. Save your money! Dont go watch this show!

I Enjoyed My Friday Night At The Theatre Watching

I enjoyed my Friday night at the theatre watching the fun filled Saturday Night Fever! It was a slick performance and simply good crowd orientated fun. It's not the sort of theatre thats going to win any awards, but I truly had an excellent time, and I'm a grumpy old sod!

The dancing and choreography were very impressive and the music gets you involved so there is good fun to be had through audience particpation, however I thought the crowd on Friday was quite flat until the very end when everyone was on their feet having a boogie woogie!

So onto the cast, overall very good, however I thought the chap who played Tony Manero had a slightly weak voice, but he was a good entertainer. The man who got the biggest cheer of the night was Shaun Williamson who is most famous for his portyal as the hapless Barry in Eastenders. His role in this musical mayhem was as Monty 'The DJ' who really acted as the compare for the night, he was a very good sport though and got the crowd going and with his enthusiasm and comic timing and was a nice contrast to the usual ponces you see on the stage! Fortunately for the portly groover though, he seemed to be exempt from some of the more complicated dance scenes! The eye candy also did the job with the girls showing a good bit of leg and putting in some nice dance routines, the female vocalists we're also excellent.

All in all a damn good night, however the Opera House is far from cheap - £2.20 for a bag of Smarties!!!!
