If There Was Anyting Negative For Myself Was It Wa

If there was anyting negative for myself was it was the lack of a super big band, as in 2007. Lets hope they will be looking for AC/DC in 2009. Festival toilets are horribable whereever you go, if they are going to upset people so much stay at home and watch it on the telly.

I Am So Glad I Wasn't Camping It Would Have Been A

I am so glad I wasn't camping it would have been a nightmare. God bless all of you who did.

I will be back at Connect next year because despite the shabby weather and the mud, the people were all great and it had a lovely relaxed atmosphere all weekend and not a ned in sight.

I Won't Be Attending Hydro Connect Next Year Thats

I won't be attending Hydro Connect next year thats for sure, even though I enjoyed the variety of music on offer, the promoters would really have to think about the whole idea of a boutique festival before next year. Try going to The Big Chill.. now there's a boutique festi!

I Really Wish I Could Recommened This Festival Due

I really wish I could recommened this festival due to the afore mentioned good points but unfortunately it gets the big thumbs down due to bad organision. My highlight was going to be seeing Franz Ferdinand but I never got to see them. Due to the rain we packed up our gear on the Sunday afternoon, intending to go back to the festival, as my lovely boyfriend offered to drive home on the Sunday night, but when we saw the car park it was a quagmire and it seem to wait until the night, it would be hopeless task to get out and regrettably we decided the best thing to do was leave that afternoon. As it was we need to get a tractor to tow the car out. Come on DF why didn't some think to put the plastic decking to the end of the car park, I mean I manage to check the weather forecast and figure out to bring what was needed for the rain.

Despite The Weather We Loved The Whole Weekend. Gr

Despite the weather we loved the whole weekend. Great setting and a lovely vibe to the whole place. (sadly missing these days at events like T in the Park.) Best natural setting for a main stage we've been to - and we've been to a few in our time - made viewing/listening a pleasure all the way back to the castle and generally less congested as a result. So it was muddy - what do we expect from 15000+ people in a field for 3 days? Gomez, Grinderman, Manic Street Preachers, Kasabian and Sigur Ros in one weekend - sheer pleasure. Thank you!

I Was So Disappointed! I Thought Hydro Connect Fes

I was so disappointed! I thought Hydro Connect Festival was going to be a slightly upmarket festival. I know ticket sales hadn't been great, but the state of the campsite and toilets was unforgivable. So it has rained for 2 weeks before hand. No effort had been made to deal with the amount of mud, I think about 3 hay bales were thrown on a bad patch, but it needed so much more. I never saw that toilets being cleaned or emptied, they absolutely stank. I was let down by my baby sitter for the weekend, so, stupidly, I took my younger children aged 10 & 8, it was a disaster. Childrens tickets were on sale, so I don't think it was completely naive of me to take them. We have attended more family orientated festivals. It was horrific, the walk from the car park, was unadulterated hell, my son was sobbing by the time we got to the campsite, and he is a fairly hardy soul.

It was very 't in the park', which I would never contemplate taking my kids to.

I think if they want an upmarket festival, they have to provide more service to everyone that goes along and pays their money. It cost me £420 to take myself, my 18 year old daughter, and my 10 & 8 year olds, plus booking fees plus car parking, I expected so much more than a field barely fit for cattle.

AND it would be nice to get Scottish security staff at these events.
