Cee Lo Green

After hearing Cee Lo Green's new highly anticipated album 'The Lady Killer', I was looking forward to seeing him live in concert, but after watching this performance, this was not one of the highlights of his career. I arrived at Manchester Academy 1 at 8 o'clock, in time to see the support act 'Ebony', who, in my opinion, were not the type of group I would listen to. After 'Ebony' had finished at 8:30, Cee Lo Green was due to come on at 8:50, but, due to technical difficulties, he was half an hour late! The audience were booing! Cee Lo Green came onto the stage with his band and performed the single 'Bright Lights, Bigger City'. This got the crowd going, and cheered them up. Whilst some of the songs were being performed, the technicians had to come on stage to fix the drums! As well as performing songs from his new album, he performed some of the songs he wrote with Gnarls Barkley. He sang the song 'Crazy', which everyone sang along to. Some more songs were played, and the concert had came to and end, but Cee Lo Green had one more song left in him. He told the audience that he had just got out of a bad relationship, this was followed by a mix of piano chords, and Cee Lo Green jumped into the song 'F*@k You'. the crowd loved this. But after he had sang this song, Cee Lo Green went off stage, and his band came onto the stage to tell the crowd to ask for more! In my opinion, the decision should be left to the audience, not the artist. He came on for an encore and performed a very short version of Lou Reed's 'Perfect Day'. After that he went straight off stage. In conclusion, this was not the best concert I have been to, and I wouldn't recommend it to any of my friends.
