We took this trip out to Whitehaven beach with ocean rafting in October 2011. It was a really awesome day out. We had the benefit of being a group of friends who had hired the whole boat. It is the only way to get to Whitehaven and back to Airlie in one day. The boats go so fast and it can be a bit of a rough ride but it really was great fun and a good party atmosphere. The two guys that were running the day were really funny and game for a laugh.

In the morning when we met at the harbour and had cups of tea. We were soon out of the harbour and speeding along. If you ever get sea sick sit near the back as it is bumpy.

We stopped twice before getting to Whitehaven where for snorkelling, where we saw and swam with the biggest Rass! We also got to swim with a couple of turtles.

I happily recommend this trip to anyone lucky enough to be in the Whitsundays
