Mercure Shrewsbury Albrighton Hall Hotel Afternoon Tea

A friend and I enjoyed traditional afternoon tea in this beautiful hotel last thursday afternoon. It took place in the drawing room with its grand wood paneled walls. The hard working staff were very friendly and pleasant. Therefore the ambiance was perfect. Nowadays, everywhere seems to be doing afternoon tea. A lot of places forget, Its all about the ambiance and get it so wrong. Even greasy spoon cafes are doing them. Ha ha!!! I have stayed at this hotel before and remember being very impressed with my twin room with a large en-suite.
