Knowsley Activity Centre

I attended this centre for a hen weekend last December 2013.

We were greeted at the main entrance to the park by a friendly member of staff and guided to our activities.

We were asked to choose overalls to cover our own clothes which we were very grateful for.

We had 3 activities booked; shooting, gladiator wrestling and body zorbing. We had a fantastic time with all activities, the staff gave us clear instructions on safety issues and getting the most from the activities.

All members of our group enjoyed the outdoor activites. I personally have not laughed and had so much fun in a long time, and this was the general consensous of the whole group, we're still talking about it now and showing friends and family the photos and videos.

The stag party, who went somewhere else, are extrememly jealous! This was a rural setting for get down and grubby outdoor fun. This is exactly what we expected and are extremely pleased with the whole event. I came away exhausted, exhilerated and thoroughly satisfied, and certainly bonded with other members of the 'hen' group that I hadn't met before.

I would definitely book this again.

Wow , we arrived on saturday mnorning for our quad adventure. We were greeted and made welcome by very pleasant staff. We then went on our quad adventure that was demonstrated by a pleasant young man and his other member of staff who was also very young. During the session i crashed early on and the young lad was alert to the situation and helped me out straight away. After the quads we rotated onto air rifle shooting where the young lad ryan showed us how to use the guns and made the experience very enjoyable. Finally we went on the blind driving wich was amazing our instructor was hilarious, i have never done anything like this before. I will definitely be returning !

i arrived on a glorious Saturday morning to be welcomed by a respectful manor ed group of staff, we greeted and they wished me a happy birthday. i then set off on my quad experience, a well mannered instructor lead the session along with a polite young lad. the young lad was very helpful as i got stuck in a ditch twice and he gently helped me out. overall my quad was excellent! i then went on to have an amazing afternoon of paintball, thanks to the gang.

the young lad there is a pleasent young man he is a very helpful guy, however i have recognised him from his youtube dancing video's. i am his number one fan! you go son!!!!

We arrived on a Saturday morning to be greeted by the staff, their first instruction was "get in there and stick some overalls on" we were made to wear dirty, wet soiled boiler suits which were not good enough to wipe your feet on, then without any safety briefing what so ever they took us to their "shooting range" which I felt was a joke, it consisted of two air riffles, some red bull cans, some string, a metal box with some wonky targets and a riffle with faulty sights! He told us to aim higher because we should never rely of the sights of a gun his justification for this was "side wind" Pathetic!

Our next "adventure" was quad biking on some kids quad bikes we were told put some filthy helmets on by our female instructor with a extremely bad attiude, she told us some of the quads didn't have front brakes because it was dangerous (apparently) She then took us on to their off road track ( she deciided not wearing a helmet was the best way for her to set a good example) I was the last rider to go out with another instructor following me, two minutes in I was catapulted forwards because the instructor had rammed in to the back my quad on his quad, he apologised saying he had no brakes, unbelievable! Then one minute later he collided again with me apologising to me because he had no brakes at which point I was annoyed, I stopped my quad and told him not to ride so close and use his common sense!!!! Bearing in mind he is the instructor and I was the guest I was the one explaining to him how to act safe.

Finally we went to their paintball area we had to wait while the instructor had a smoke but we eventually got started after a brief instruction from some youth they then provided us with a mask that again was filthy, we were told if we wanted gloves we would have to pay cash to hire them, they didn't have my size. We also were told we had to pay £8 per 100 paintballs I had £24 worth which lasted 10 minutes!

If you are reading this you will be pleased to know that I had read the other reviews on here before I visited your site so I thought I would make my own mind up and review you in detail, I recorded the whole event on a covert camera fitted to my clothing ( i sell electronics for a living) I have just saved the video footage on to my computer hard drive and the highlights are:

1) Him smoking and saying ".... the law if I wanna smoke I'm gonna smoke"

2) Your female instructor not wearing appropriate safety clothing

3) Your female instructor showing us how the brakes did NOT work on your quad bikes

4) Your female instructor having a swearing tantrum at your customers

5) The two collisions from when your instructor ran into the back of the quad I was riding

6) Me asking you several times about your toilet facilities and your response

7) Foootage of your staff smoking and discussing their thoughts on your customers

8) Footage of your "cabin"

9) Several clips of him losing his temper and swearing a lot

10) And about two hours worth of general caos

My footage has already been sent to the Enviromental Health Agency and Consumer Direct

Finally Thank you to him and his staff for answering all of my questions honestly and allowing me to capture them on film!

Well, where do i start! first of all, i hope you have read the website! because "everything is on the website", although it doesn't tell you that they are all addicted to smoking (whilst giving "safety briefings") or that they are offensive towards customers, or that they don't speak a language, just make a weird noise.

when were on the quads we were going around the track then out of the side some man on another quad comes flying in front of me, telling me i am to close, i found this out when he did it because i nearly went into the side of him because i didn't have any brakes! anyhow, he never told us how close we were aloud to be, so i guess you have to do a bit of mind reading when your there. then, he did the same again, but this time, asked for our credit card details, claiming that we were braking them by "accelerating", i'm no expert but god knows how we were meant to move if we weren't aloud to do that! so we said sorry, don't know why though, and continued along, then , wait for it!, he did it again!, telling is to " stop f****** around" and told us we could get of the quad and walk back down the road and leave the quads!(was Very tempting!), said sorry again, and then i say him telling our instructor to just drive us down and to forget about the rest of it. so we were not happy at all about this.

so we still had paint balling to do, so we got a lift along to it, all was going well so far for it, then we had game, but nobody knew what on earth we were meant to be doing, because of the expert organizing!, so we just all start firing at each other as they say to do after asking them about 10 times, i ask if we get more balls at the end of the game, the guy said a short and sweet "yes.", so i go out, use all mine up, then at the end, i get told i do get more, but they cost £8 for 100!(bearing in mind you can shoot 100 in about a minute and a half), so they rip you off with that. then they make the game last until everyone has ran out of ammo, so after we spend all our money on nothing we leave the game and put the guns ect. back, then start to walk in the direction we come from, to be shouted to " oi, lads!, get back here now" from some man , to we reply,"what? we are finished", he said " you cant go down their lads, its a secure area", and a load of rubbish, this is the same road that we were told to walk along on the quads. then we wait around for a while, then he stands next to us talking to a work mate, saying "get some of these guys back down there, especially these F****** Idiots", as you can imagine, we were not best pleased at this!

So, we had been abused, passive smoked, and also ripped off all within an hour or so. the shame is that it could be good, if the didn't employ those people.

so take if from this review and others, it is the worst experience of your life!

IF IT WAS POSSIBLE I WOULD HAVE RATED THIS 4X4 EXPERIENCE ZERO. THE OWNER IS AN ARROGANT OBNOXIOUS IDIOT, WHO WANTS YOU IN AND OUT SO QUICKLY YOUR BUM HARDLY TOUCHES THE SEAT OF THE VEHICLES. THE COURSES ARE TERRIBLE AND THE VEHICLES DANGEROUS DUE TO POOR STATE OF REPAIR. DO NOT GET FOOLED BY THE FANCY WEBSITE THE SERVICE IS AWFUL. PLEASE DONT WASTE OVER 50 QUID LIKE I DID ON THIS RUBBISH.

Wow what a joke this place is. We went there to do quad biking and 4x4 driving. The quads looked like they had never been maintained, The brakes didn't work at all and we were told by the "instructor" that it was normal and they never work so just be careful. The 4x4 driving was pathetic, The landrover cut out when it felt like and was automatic. the course is nothing more than a hole in a field. We paid for 3 people to go in the 4x4 and that gave us about 15 mins each, If we booked separate we would of got a full hour each. And the guy who owns the place does nothing but swear.
