This was a really good experience. If you don't have the ***** to jump out of a plane, I guess this is the next best thing. I had loads of fun. Great overall. The Missus loved it too despite the fact that I pretty much had to drag her there! I might come back for more if I managed a bit of a special deal.

This was a family day out, it ticked all the boxes for ages 16 to 53. We booked with no expectations, wow we were blown away with the experience, the atmosphere and the rush. The staff were only too willing to help make this a safe and enjoyable experience. The instructor Chris at Airkix Manchester was a star, he even managed to make the safety briefing fun and not boring. Why jump out of a perfectly good plane when you fly the Airkix way!!!

Airkix is the indoor sky diving experience in Milton Keynes.

Essentially, its a massive wind tunnel where there is a small room you enter which has 125mph wind coming up from the floor.

You trust the instructor and let yourself fall into the wind and it takes you up into the air and simulates real skydiving (apparently very accurately)

The package we went for you received 2 x 2 min 'flights' (as they call them)

You also get a bit of training and safety briefing.

I was surprised that it was pretty easy to get the basics - ie flying in the wind without much intervention from the instructor.

By the second flight, most of us were able to hold our position in the air, turn a bit, go up and down etc. It really felt like you were flying/floating and was a great experience.

The instructor was excellent, the facilities pretty good and overall something Id highly recommend people try out. I'll be looking to go again.
