Aerobatic Flight

If ever one wanted to try and experience Winston Churchill's words on the Battle of Britain, go to Sussex and experience an aerobatic flight experience. Not quite the Spitfire but the closest one can get as the Chipmonk aircraft used for the flight is the spitfire trainer and the controls, the cockpit, the sensation is second only to the real thing. Some what slower but still exhilarating in every respect. Experience a Barrel Roll, A Victory Roll, a Loop the Loop and the icing on the cake.....a Stall Turn!

The aircraft reacts EXACTLY AS THE SPITFIRE, the engine stalling on the tip of the turn. Exiting and nerve racking all at the same time. Experience not the getting into the aircraft....but putting it on! The feeling explained by many if not all of the pilots as to wearing the spitfire is so true. The mind boggling thing is..........it is true. It is almost as though the craft plugs you in and now as one. All together an unforgettable experience.

Do it again............No doubt!

The pilot is generous in all aspects, explanations, instruction and not least, how to fly....and that is exactly what one does.

Just thinking about it is emotional.
