Based on a true story, Come and See (Idi I Smotri) is a harrowing account of the 'The Khatyn Story' by Ales Adamovich.
It has to be one of the most horrifying and moving war films ever made. The protagonist is a sixteen-year-old boy that helps the partisans. He goes on to live through the horrors of the Nazi executions, changing the face of the child into an old man who has been altered by the war.
A poignant account of war and what it can do to the human spirit.
