The Last Of The "star Wars" Episodes. One Of The B
The last of the "Star Wars" episodes. One of the best. Remarkable acting in this one. Darth Vader was able to restore his former self through love of his son, hence became the Chosen One and brought balance to the Force as the Jedi lengend perdicted. I cried at the end when Luke cremated Vader's body. Was happier than anything when he appeared to Luke in phantom form at the end of the film.(Many people hated it when Lucas put Hayden Christensen in when he redid the scene, but I thought it was important that he did so. Vader's character had been portrayed by him and it was better done that way in my humble opinion. Too bad he didn't do the same with Vader's death scene.) That is one of the many reasons I loved the ending of the saga, but hated it at the same time. There was no longer a monsterous villian to hate. At least we didn't hate Vader anymore. We hated Palpatine which was fitting. No movie will ever capture as many fans as this saga did. It will continue to entertain millions for many generations to come. The Force will be strong with them all. Thank you so much again Mr. Lucas. Your name will go down in history.
As The Final Episode In The Star Wars Trilogy, The
As the final episode in the Star Wars Trilogy, the Return of the Jedi is somewhat repetitive with similar storylines to previous episodes. The film begins with an elaborate rescue of Han Solo from the clutches of Jabba the Hut, a slug-like gangster who has had run-ins with Solo on occasion. Many of the scenes are spectacularly inventive and are not to be missed. Luke then returns back to Master Yoda to complete his Jedi training and confirm the truth about Darth Vader being his father. The others rejoin the Rebellion to organise another attack on the Death Star which is now being rebuilt. Solo and Princess Leia lead a rebel group to deactivate the force-field protecting the Death Star, they enlist the help of an army of Ewoks, pint sized furry tribes native to the forested planet. Luke completes his training and returns to face his father once again. Refusing to believe Vader is lost to inherent evil he seeks to convince his father to turn away from his dark side. Once the force-field is down, Solo leads a small sortie of ships into the core of the Death Star to destroy it from the inside. Many light-saber fracas later, Luke convinces his father to save him from the clutches of the evil Emperor and he turns away from his darker side. All the characters regroup for one last time as they celebrate the toppling of the Empire with the Ewoks in their tree-top dwellings. This is perhaps the episode most geared to children and as such can be a little nauseating at times but after experiencing the other films you will be so thirsty for more and this has loads to offer.
