Watched this one with a bit of trepidation, was warned it was a bit of a damp squib, and was not let down.

the story line is as follows, Aliens crash land on earth six years ago aboared a nasa probe, crashing in Mexico, the border between usa and mexica becomes a no go zone, a infected zone.

a photographer and his company bosses daughter need to get back to the states before the crossing point shuts for six months, loosing there passports and tickets on the last safe ferry home they decide to cross the infected zone to get home, yada yada yada.

this film could have been so much more in the right hands, but it failed to deliver, now you may sit down and love it, but personally it failed to deliver. nothing was really ever shown of the aliens, all military fighting is done off in the distance behind hills and tree lines, there seems to be more time spent showing mexicos forests.

overall if you are going to label a film MONSTERS, then show us the monster, let us see the aliens close up. play more to the story than just two people trying to get home through alien infested woodland
