I-robot Is About Robots That Turn Bad And Detectiv

I-Robot is about robots that turn bad and Detective Spooner who is convinced that Dr. Lanning was killed by a robot called Sonny, which he created. Sonny is a nice robot that gets ordered to kill Dr.Lanning. Will Smith is plays Detective Spooner who doesn't like robots, as Sonny is a computer animated robot that Spooner thinks killed Dr.Lanning.

I, Robot - The Year Is 2035 And Humans Have Utiliz

I, Robot - The year is 2035 and humans have utilized robots in their everyday lives, from gathering garbage to serving in restaurants. Enter Detective Spooner, a paranoid cop who despises robots, much to the chagrin of his superior. When the lead scientist at USR Robotics is killed, Spooner is called in to investigate. What he uncovers is a conspiracy that could change the fate of humans forever.

Cliche? Yes and no. Goyer's vision of the future is within reason, as he ditches the idea of flying cars and mutants and insteads opts for something less overwhelming but equally impressive. The result: autopiloted vehicles with spherical wheels that travel at insane speeds and futuristic fashion that seems all too familiar (if you watch Fashion TV). This works extremely well, compared to the more apocalyptic worlds in other films.

The story itself may seem all too familiar. Based on Isaac Asimov's classic novel of the same name, I, Robot delves deep into the possibility of a world ripe with technology and robots. These mechanical beings are everywhere, and all comply to (and are programmed with) the Three Laws of Robotics.

Despite the slow buildup of the first part of the film, you're constantly being entertained by the amazing effects and animations, if not Will Smith's trademark humour.

The second part of the film is much more stimulating, with spectacular fights and an over-the-top chase sequence, as the story begins to unfold itself.

The acting here is particularly good, as the two lead characters never fail to ignite tension and laughter from the audience.

With this said, I, Robot is a highly entertaining film that proves that you don't need to understand Geek-lingo to enjoy science fiction. Smith proves once again that he's Hollywood's top action star, and Hollywood in turn proves that it still packs that extra punch to make us moviegoers a happy crowd.

I, Robot - This Movie Is Fun, But Its Nothing To W

I, Robot - This movie is fun, but its nothing to write home about. Will Smith plays his usual slightly bitter, wise-cracking maverick fighting aliens/robots/villains, who somehow has a petrol-powered motorbike and old propeller fans in his apartment, when everything else seems to be highly futuristic. Also, the commercial endorsements are shoved into your face - Converse sneakers circa 2004 and Audi get max screen time. The computer graphics are pretty good, and the robot sidekick who is trying to be human isn't bad, but there's nothing that hasn't been said by 2001 or Terminator or any of that ilk.

I, Robot - I Must Say That I Have't Seen This Kind

I, Robot - I must say that I have't seen this kind of movie for a long time. This movie is based on the science fiction of the American writer Isaac Asimov, this great work insures the quality of the movie. Will Smith's good acting makes the movie more colorful. But comparing to another movie "AI," both of them disscussed the issues emerging with the appearance of robots, I love "AI" much more than this one. But, all in all, this movie is worthy to watch, you shouldn't miss it.

Well What Can I Say? I, Robot Is An Amazing Film,

Well what can I say? I, Robot is an amazing film, which is nice to see in a summer blockbuster. The acting is top-notch, the effects, although computer graphics, are very good and don't distract from the overall storytelling. The visuals are stunning and allow you to believe it is the future. The characters are well fleshed out and the script (bar a few exceptions, see above) is everything you could ever wish it were. From Alex Proyas the director of Dark City and The Crow comes another awesome film, which won't disappoint fans of his and also fans of top-notch action and science fiction. This film is inspired by Isaac Asimov, but follows its own thread away from the I, Robot book.

Just Been To See I, Robot And I Have To Say Wow!!

Just been to see I, Robot and I have to say WOW!! What a film. This loose adaptation of the Isaac Asimov story manages to lift Sci-Fi to a new level, much in the same way as The Matrix did.

What impressed me was how slick the film was, the story moves at a fast pace while still managing to conclude all the sub-plots that are introduced at various stages and there are enough twists and turns to make the film intriguing without being over-complicated.

The characters are well-played, especially Sonny the robot, who manges to come across as being very sinister while at the same time almost makes you feel sorry for him. Will Smith's character, Del Spooner, is convincing as a self confessed robot-hater and plays a much darker character than in the M.I.B films, while still managing the odd wisecrack.

A final word about the special effects, we all know what CGI can do nowadays and we know that it can look terrible if over-used and done poorly. I, Robot has some of the best CGI effects that I have ever seen and due to the nature of the film there are a lot of them. The live action is blended seemlessly with CGI, making for a very realistic looking film.

One slight criticism is that the film is set in 2035, so the futuristic setting and advanced technology is a bit hard to believe, but we can forgive them for that as it just makes for more impressive viewing.
