Offenbach: Orphee aux Enfers - Lyon National Opera/Minkowski

An absoloutly wonderful production, extremely witty with inventive and insightful design. I adored the detail of Pluto's "Faith No More" Tee-shirt -the costume overall is fabulous. Olympus is fashioned of cushions which form the clouds, and the bored and sleeping dieties are clad in silk pyjamas. The choreography is fantastic - I simply adored the boys in the corps de ballet dressed in tutus! As to the singing. Just gorgeous.
