Interesting Plot But Lacked Suspense. Jim Carey Pr
Interesting plot but lacked suspense. Jim Carey prooved his versatility as an actor but the film was not that good.
There Is Nothing Going On During The Entire Movie
There is nothing going on during the entire movie and then, right at the end, the director throws in your face a bunch of flashbacks and shock scenes to reveal the meaning of the movie. The tension is not well distributed along the movie, I really got bored!

I did quite enjoy this movie, even if it did become a little predictable.
In some ways it reminded me of Sin City, with the dark, sinister, black and white flashbacks. Though in this film the flashbacks are perceived to be in connection to the author of a book called The Number 23.
The book The Number 23 is bought for Jim Carey's character by his wife as a birthday present and upon reading it he becomes obsessed with the number and convinced that the book has been written about him.
He tries to solve the mystery of who the author really is and this takes him on a journey of mystery, revelations and suspense.
Worth a watch, but don't expect it to be the best movie you have ever seen, or you will be disappointed.
