This Film Is Not As Gory As You Might Expect From

This film is not as gory as you might expect from the media frenzy and big word of mouth it has gotten. However, for what could have been a very silly film, it is a distressing concept and there are some difficult moments to watch that don't involve blood and guts (when the three people sewn together whimper loudly at night and when the two girls hold hands, for example). I also think it was very clever making the guy on front not being able to speak English - he is the only one who can speak and the subtitles filter his experience and sort of make what this guy in this unbelievable situation is going through more convincing and real. The German doctor and the other three main cast members are very good, actually - for such an out there film, the acting is good.

My main criticism of this film is some lazy moments in the plot and some dumb moments by the characters. For instance, the car of the two girls breaks down and, instead of following the road, they walk into woods. One of the girls is restrained in a hospital bed and for some reason she waits for a couple of days before pulling her straps off her wrists with her teeth. It's these lazy moments that make you annoyed with the characters and think 'they shouldn't be in this situation' ... and that detracts from the ordeal of watching the film. It softens the power of the film. Annoying, really, as just a little bit of creative writing could have gotten around these dumb moments and made the film a lot more powerful.

I First Warn You That This Is A Highly Graphic Fil

I first warn you that this is a highly graphic film but if you're into gore then I recommend you see this. It's got a few plots but the main plot being and Dr Heiter's Home. He is a psychotic doctor who wants to create the first 'Human Centipede' hence the film name. At the start of the film You see Dr Heiter looking at one of his earlier creations, a Dog Centipede which has Three Rottweiler's in a line. He then puts the photo down as a truck pulls to the side of the road where he is parked up. The truck driver jumps out with some toilet roll to go to the bathroom in some bushes. As he does this, Dr Heiter takes his tranquillizer rifle and shoots the truck driver. He then takes the truck driver home and ties him onto a hospital bed in his cellar. A bit further on in the film You see Two pretty girls knock at his door for 'Help' he offers them a drink and spikes their drinks, One of the girls spills her drink and as that happens Dr Heiter loses his patience and goes down to the Cellar to "Get a towel" while down there he fills a syringe up with a sedative. He goes back up and one of the girls is on her way to passing out. The other girl drops to the floor and drags herself towards the door. Dr Heiter grabs Her by Her hair so he can inject a sedative into her neck. I wont reveal anymore from this point on as the movie gets pretty gruesome. Anyway, It's a great film and I WILL be watching again.

Enjoy.

I Heard About Thc A Little Time Ago. This Is A Con

I heard about THC a little time ago. This is a controversial movie in the sense that it's so surreal as it is sick and twisted. The opening scenes start off like any other horror movie. Annoying American whining girls get lost in the woods, seek help but end up the victim of some nasty torture crazed person. There is no real plot with the movie. It's all about creating extremes in human torture and medical abuse. The idea is simple. Abduct three people, use a ligament from their kneecaps, cut out teeth, connect intestines from one to the other and they feed from excreting one to the other! Twisted isn't it? The dcctor had tried out the experiment on 3 head dog and it failed. I was DYING to see a flashback, but we're never rewarded with this. There's some quite funny dark humour scenes that at time parody the movie, other times are just plainly twisted. It's the same dark feeling and humour as used in Dexter the series, but with a concept that probably only Cronenberg would have used. As the american girls mouths are sown up to an abducted Japanese guy's anus and then one another, butt to mouth. They feed by passing food one to the other, by --- you guessed it, by excreting it via anus. The doctor's experiment worked, he made Siamese triplets and the rest of the movie is about the centipede's hope of escape and cruel torment by the doctor on treating them and training them like a dog. The doctor's performance is very good if only as his tone and demeanor strikes a chord with the nazi token. Eventually the police turn up a few weeks later and question the doctor. This leads to a series of events and a really quite sick ending! It's a pity the movie didn't finish with Steelers Wheel - "Stuck in the Middle with you". You'll find out why! What the movie can be praised for is it's extreme nature and getting past the censors plus mainstream acknowledgement. Where the Reanimator was particularly light this movie is the extreme of the forthcoming movie Splice! I gave the movie 3 stars based on its bravery to be made and the extreme nature of the story. It's not original enough and there are some major plot holes involving stairs in the final moments of the movie. Why was it a big deal as surely they must have been doing it every day!
