After Watching This Movie It Reminded Me A Great D
After watching this movie it reminded me a great deal of Alien, and also the movie Event Horizon, but not quite as good. I wasn't disappointed with this movie, but nor was I jumping for joy. The story was pretty good, a massive space shuttle carrier, carrying hundreds of thousands of human beings, all sleeping in pods. Mission - save the human race.
However, problems arise when the last few remaining (awake) crew members encounter grisly beings in the belly of the ship that like to feast on human flesh.
Lots of action, the scenery does look pretty good, and you are kept watching from start to finish. There is a nice psychological element to the film as well, which (without spoiling it) makes you go "ohhhhh, nice twist"
Not a blockbuster, but I'd still recommend watching it if you're into your sci-fi horror flicks.
After Waking Up From Cyro-sleep 2 Space Crew Membe
After waking up from cyro-sleep 2 space crew members cannot remember who they are, their mission or even how to use the ship. Locked in a room they start to get their memories back. The ship it seems is dying, they remember they are the last of the human race. The ship is dark, disorientating and there seems to be something other aboard. The protagonist Bower volunteers to explore the ship finding dead bodies and empty life pods and then other life more adaptive to the dark and others suffering from psychotic disorders. Is Bower responsible for the death of the human race? If you liked Event Horizon mixed with Apocalypse Now and Alien then this movie is for you. It's more of a space psychological thriller than a gore horror. Great tense moments and impressive sets are akin to Alien. The only let down was the happy ending, but that's just me. I'm hoping for a directors cut.
