Snow-covered Norwegian Mountains Plagued By Undead

Snow-covered Norwegian mountains plagued by undead Nazis.....

Billed as a black comedy, there is a fair bit of humour (normally attached to or followed by some butchery) but much more gore- it really is quite visceral, with some really scary moments.

One of the best opening lines of any film- "Hey, we're a load of medical students going to spend a weekend in a log cabin in the mountains- sounds like something out of a horror film" !!!!

Why are the Nazis still hanging around? Because during WW2 the townsfolk rebelled against their evil oppression, followed them into the mountains and slaughtered them. And took something they had, something they still want.

Excellent film if you accept that the gore/scare/laugh ratio is about 55/45/05

Scene Is Set. Enamoured Norwegian Medical Students

Scene is set. Enamoured Norwegian medical students get away to a remote ski house. One evening a local tells a little of the local history of the locals who one day massacred a Nazi force. But the plains are still haunted. Enter zombie nazis who must get their revenge. But is it brains they're only after? Can they appease the SS zombies of death?

Great referencing in scenes, quote and story line to Indiana Jones, Brain Dead, Evil Dead [including arm chopping]. The only let down is American dubbing, I recommend the original version!

2009 has had its fair share of zombie movies. By far this is the stand-out movie for the year in this genre. Other movies released include Autumn, Pontypool, [Rec] 2 and The Dead Outside. I seriously recommend this movie and TV series The Dead Set for parody and references!

Dead Snow Is A Norweigan Horror Film Set In The Be

Dead Snow is a Norweigan horror film set in the beautiful Fjords of Norway. A group of friends have decided to go for a short weekend break away skiing and hiking but mainly drinking and having a great time. Soon though they are terrorised by an unlikely foe...Nazi Zombies! With plenty of references to other horror classics like Dawn of the Dead and Braindead this film has it's tongue firmly in cheek and proceeds to an ending that Peter Jackson wishes he could still make. A great film for a night in with mates and a few beers, you won't be scared silly but the deaths are gory and humorous. Brilliant tag line too Ein! Zwei! Die!
