I Thought The Subtitles Would Put Me Off This Film
I thought the subtitles would put me off this film but that wasn't the case at all, there's something about this film that draws you into it and grips you and with such a fine ending I would recommend to anyone to watch this film.....
This Is The Most Beautiful And Moving Film I Have
This is the most beautiful and moving film I have seen in years. It deals with a very difficult time in East Germany before the Berlin Wall came down when the Stasi (secret police) were spying on anyone they thought might be suspicious or dangerous (including writers).
It captures the atmosphere and bleak colours of the time and the main characters are captivating and show so much containment and compassion. It challenges you to think if I was in that situation would I have just followed orders and been a job's worth to save myself or would I have used my integrity?
I was engaged in the story the whole way through and the ending was simply exquisite.
