The Movie Is Amazing. Personally, I Would Like To

The movie is amazing. Personally, i would like to say that i feel compassion for the kids and their struggling times because I myself understand some of these things. Its amazing how from where they came they could just rise up and beat it by proving everyone wrong that they could receive an education. Also the love that the teacher showed for them is truly remarkable and in many ways had me in awe. I would definitely recommend this movie and the book to anyone that is looking for a good story to hear or a great movie to see. This is the book that got me started reading which is honestly not what i do most of the time. Freedom writers is definitely a great book.

Emotional And Affective. It Shows You The Truth An

Emotional and affective. It shows you the truth and shows you what is really happening in this world. Great film and very successful in the way it puts the points across about the issues and the difficulties.

Do Not Waste Two Hours Of Your Life Watching Freed

Do not waste two hours of your life watching Freedom Writers. I took a chance on this DVD thinking that it may still deliver despite ones initial suspicions that the plot would be something of a cliche. Wrong. Deluded rookie teacher determined to change lives gets an unwelcome reception from class in ghetto school but eventually wins pupils over. It's been done before and no doubt it will be done again; and my is it obvious. To it's credit, it is loosely based on actual events; however I'm guessing the similarities start and end there.

I won't bother going into the plot as you get the jist, just suffice to say that it fulfilled my expectations as a wishy washy version of Dangerous Minds.

I'm guessing Swank meant to be irritating as a naive twinset and pearl clad twenty something teacher with a fixed toothy smile; if so she did a pretty good job. Other than that the plot lacked depth, none of the characters were developed well and it was clearly a Hollywood attempt at breezing over a gritty story. Lesson: don't trust films you've never heard of.
