Here We See A Film Which Has Every Cliche In The B
Here we see a film which has every cliche in the book. Fat kid and geeky kid who want to date hot girls who are way out of their league!!! Oh surprise surprise they get hot girls who in reality wouldn't have even noticed them! How many times have we seen this? I would put Superbad in the same catagory as American Pie, Roadtrip, Scream etc as "Teen" films which quite frankly don't deserve any success! Like those films, Superbad tries to use "in yer face" humour to get laughs but it failed to get even a smile from me.
Jonah Hill (Seth) plays a charactor who seems desperate and pathetic and in the real world would have been deservedly bullied or ignored with his irritating sidekick Michael Cera (Evan) who can barely string a sentance together. Throughout the film I just wanted to slap him round the face and shout "Stop dithering and talk properly, you retard!!!"
The performance from these two clowns doesn't warrent any credibility or recognition unless the brief was "please try to be as irritating as you possibly can"! I've read other reviews where people say they can really relate to their situation..... well you must have had a very pathetic childhood then!!!
So let's talk about the plot. Basically Seth and Evan have to get some booze for a party and rope in their loser of a friend Fogell (Christopher Mintz-Plasse)who has a fake ID with "McLovin" written on it (not "McLovin" this plot so far!!!). But as you can imagine nothing goes to plan and they all have a lot of wild and wacky adventures along they way! Surprise surprise, didn't see that one coming!!!!
If you have a weak plot, you do at least have to make it funny and Superbad fails dismally in both of these areas. The unfunny one liners just left me wanting someone to shoot these idiots and put them out of their misery. As the film went on, I found myself becoming more and more irritated by it and these three infuriatingly annoying charactors!!!
So in short, the performances were lame, the script is terrible and the plot is rubbish- infact I'd go further and say there is no plot!!!
I'll sum it up in 3 words... lame, irritating and boring!

This Film Is Hilarious! Draws Quite Closely T
This film is hilarious! Draws quite closely to the 'American pie' idea of the boys trying to get lucky. They all think their luck is in when they get invited to a party, trying to talk themselves up they say they can get booze for it, but things go slightly wrong along the way! Que Mclovin, some odd police men and beer in petrol containers! This film is laugh out loud funny and slap stick gross! Definitely on the must see list!

A Very Funny Film, Superbad Is Seriously Funny Wit
A very funny film, Superbad is seriously funny with excellent characters helping to make the comedy even funnier. We either know something like the central characters, or secretly we have an aspect of their character in ourself. The main theme of trying to get alcohol and of house parties is something which every student everywhere has done and loves.

Superbad Is Almost Guaranteed To Make You Come Out
Superbad is almost guaranteed to make you come out feeling good about yourself and laughing about it for a long time (I saw it nearly a month ago, and I still say everything is great). All I can say is, please see it before you die, otherwise you've wasted your life.
