Take Every Thing About The Original "clerks", Then
Take every thing about the original "clerks", then add a modern spin on it and you've got clerks II. It goes over familiar topics, and throws in some new ones; a few of which are Star Wars vs. Lord of the Rings (I prefer Star Wars) and as Kevin smith puts it: "interspecies erotica". Not a movie for the faint-hearted. Only see this movie with very chummy friends, without kids and only if you've seen the original clerks, because if you haven't, you will miss a good portion of the many jokes.

Oh, I've already got the Clerks X 10 year anniversary box. I watched it at the weekend actually. I hadn't seen the film in about 6 or 7 years, and I'd forgotten loads about it! What they need is a special edition of Mallrats now... Jason Lee, those pretzels...
Very true. It was tastefully done, especially the "interspecies erodica". It went there and back, but it didn't go too far. The Clerks 1 & 2 box set should come out soon; that's what I heard.
I was surprised at the lack of self-referential jokes because Kevin Smith usually does nothing but. I really enjoyed this though. I thought it would be totally cringeworthy but I thought it was just right and the ending was appropriate. He likes his happy endings - look at Mallrats!
