I Really Enjoyed This Film. I Didnt Know Much Abo
I really enjoyed this film. I didnt know much about it when I saw it and must confess to being a Coen Brothers fan and it really is clear its a Coen Brothers film.
Its a bit 'odd' a bit unpredictable and more than a bit good.
Its not a Hollywood template film where you have the same beginning, middle and end, the only difference is how big are the effects and how expensive were the actors. Instead its intelligent and unusual.
It doesnt quite get 5 stars for me as its not the perfect film, but it's highly enjoyable and I'd definitely recommend to people that like this sort of 'interesting' film as opposed to Hollywood clones.
I'm Not Sure What To Make Of This Film. I Had Hig
I'm not sure what to make of this film. I had high hopes for it, had heard good things, but it didn't live up to my expectations.
At times i found it was boring, cringy or just not very plesant. Then the next moment something would happen that really made me laugh - these moments were few and far between however.
I did think Brad Pitt was very good, he played his character well and looked about 20 years younger than he really is. That was probably the most impressive thing about this film.
Although the plot isn't really complicated,i think it doesn't always make very much sense, or flow very well. You never feel like you really get anywhere with it and i was left just feeling a bit let down and confused.
There Was Very Little To Like, And A Lot That Was
There was very little to like, and a lot that was very unpleasant. Only in the second half did the film start to engage and get funny in parts, but that did not make up for the rest which was depressing and in really bad taste. It was not amusing and certainly not charming to watch a bunch of unattractive, shallow married couples all having unfairs behind the backs of their spouses. They even managed to make the gorgeous George Clooney a beardy, sad, bore. The bit about his sex-machine is too horrible to relate. You come out thinking, hoping that the world it not really like this, or headed in this direction. Don't waste your time and money.
The Chair In The Film, Lol, I'm Really Trying Hard
The chair in the film, lol, I'm really trying hard to think of a film I've seen that is worse than this one! I really don't recommend Burn After Reading.
I agree with this review because... I saw the film too. Dreadful.
Maybe see some more films and you may stumble across one or two that just may be worse??
