Be Cool (12A)

After the mauling it took off the critics, I was baffled as to why a film with the star power of Be Cool took such a panning, so it was with intrigue that I loaned this film out. I'm glad to report it was £3.50 well spent at Blockbuster!

I often think the critics talk through their backsides and this case is no exception. Sure this film won't win Academy Awards, but who cares, it's bloody good fun after all! Plenty of nice bits of comedy from some great actors having a good time!

Lets looks at the evidence:

Travolta - Very cool as Chilli Palmer and I enoyed his performance.

Thurman - Sultry and played her part with aplomb

The Rock - Camped it up with bravado and was the Man Of The Match

Cedric The Entertainer - Great comic timing and was good to watch

Milian - Everything she needed to be

Ruskie mobsters and G-Unit impersonators - All played with suitable over the topness

Vince Vaughn - Very funny man

Keitel - Always on the money

This film is certainly daft, but in a good way! I haven't seen the first one so maybe people have been giving it such negative vibes because they had such high expectations. But this film is a peach, the chemistry between The Rock and Vaughn is funny stuff and for me was the highlight of this movie.

The plot is easy enough to follow, funny and enjoyable and I can't fathom why so many have dissed this movie to high heaven. If someone out there would care to explain this to me then please leave a comment because I'm perplexed at the bad reviews!

Be Cool is the worst film I've ever seen and that's saying something seeing as I've seen a lot of films. Put it this way, Do Not See This Movie it's a waste of money. only good aspect of the film was the actor John Travolta.
