Behind The Mask! Based On The Movie The Mask!

We are all wearing a mask, metaphorically speaking, which is we are hiding our true talents for true life that is somewhat true, but some people just don’t have much of a choice, and thanks to a movie that is called The Mask, that played within 1994, on May 17, 2005. Starring, Jim Carry, showing that you don’t always need the mask to show your true self. Of course at the time he didn’t even get rid of the mask at first, he thinks that the doctor on his T.V. named Dr. Arthur Newman, the book called bigger than Life.

Stanly Ipkiss who works at the bank that he stole from when he wore the mask is trying to keep the cops off him. Naturally thanks to Jim Carry I am sure he is used to cops and paparazzi coming after him because in my book he is an awesome star! With him being in the Mask, Stanly Ipkiss finds out that he has a goal in life to show off his true talent, even if he thinks he is hopeless and doesn’t have strength within him to do what he can to show off to a beautiful women named Tina Carlyle, who is played by Cameron Diaz, in fact that is her first movie role and she was awesome no? A big role to, sense she is one of the main characters, but in pulp fiction there aren’t really any characters main, just as long as you have three to four roles, such as a hero bigger than life, a beautiful character that shows true love between the hero and the lover, a villain, kind of like a comic book within words.

Make sure that the Characters all have a story behind them, and try your best to connect them all. So that the story can be come to life, and the people can uncover there masks and be like the characters. Those ways they can show their own power to be bigger than life.

If you are having trouble with a villain, think like the villain within the Mask, because the movie, has Dorian as the villain who hates people going and taking his territory. Such as Stanly Ipkiss who robbed the bank before his men did, and killed the Doctor, as the leader of the mob called himself.

Stanly Ipkiss became a main target for the police, Dorian, and a reporter who is just trying to get a break, her name is called Peggy Brant within the movie, now you might remember Peggy Brant, and she played a movie role before within a popular story called Robin Hood: Men in Tights. She shows Dorian and sells Stanly Ipkiss for 50,000 and then there no further detail of her.

Thanks to her, they put Stanly in tape cuffs, and then went to his apartment, and took the money back, and then went to the cops, and handed over Stanly, the only scary thing now is it the end for Stanly? No, the great thing about the Mask is that it doesn’t just show the true power of humans, but it does show the true power of animals too. Thanks to Stanley dog Milo, a Jack Russell Terrier, helps save the day! The Question is how far can Stanley and that dog run, I hear Jack Russell Terriers have great energy so who knows they might get far, but if I tell you everything know then the movie won’t be a surprise now will it?

This movie does show a line from Jackal and the Hyde, for instants, he cannot control his inner self, within Jackal and Hyde couldn’t control his monster within him, after he drank a potion. Within the Movie of the Masks, Stanly couldn’t help but show the world his desires and dreams. Thanks to the Mask that he found within the ocean thinking that it is a man drowning.

Finding out that it is a mask floating upon a metal frame and under a bag of junk, he keeps the mask though because he tells the cops that he is down within the waters because he lost his mask. That is how he ended up with the mask in the first place. Now if you want to watch the movie yourself instead of reading this review, then I would defiantly go to Amazon and look for Pg-13, May 17 2005, The Mask. There you should find your movie, and the price is only 19.93 for a new one, of course there is task but still. Thanks to Amazon you still are able to find a lot of new movies, and an overnight shipment. So, if you think about it the price is worth money sent that night.

Watch the Mask, and now there is even The Mask 2, about the God who invented the mask for his blood line to wear it cool huh. But, the same character from the Mask 1 isn’t within the movie Mask 2, no, Jim Carry, Cameron Diaz, sorry guys. But, who knows if they decide to make a 3rd they might come back into play, all you have to do is write your own soul into the characters, and decide how the play is going to be set, by adding in Stanly Ipkiss, and Tina Carlyle Who knows your name might be in stars, just as much as the writer.

The Mask, really about showing who can be bigger than life? Or who can do better cop work then the actual cop? Or the cops that are having a hard time trying to do their job thanks to the press? What is the real story behind it all? Could it be the original Jackal and Hyde? Or could it be Cinderella? Who knows something to think about when you watch the movie, considering the fact that there are two sides to every story? Another thing, you can watch these movies Mask 1, Mask 2 at Family Video.

Pulp Fiction - How Do You Follow Up A Brilliant Fi

Pulp Fiction - How do you follow up a brilliant film like Resevoir Dogs? If you`re Quentin Tarentino, you make another film, cast great actors, fill it with weird situations and you have Pulp Fiction, one of the best films of the `90s.

Whereas Resevevoir Dogs told one story (Jackie Brown and Kill Bill also did this), Pulp Fiction tells several stories involving L.A`s lowlife. Before the credits are up, we meet Pumpkin (Tim Roth) and Hunny Bunny (Amanda Plummer), a pair of stick-up artists who plan another robbery. Preferably the diner they`re eating in. Then we meet two of the coolest hit men in the business - Vincent Vega (John Travolta) and Bible bashing Jules Winfield (Samuel L. Jackson) who pay a visit to some drug dealing college kids with whom their boss Marcellus Wallace (Ving Rhames) is unhappy.

The second story has Vincent taking his boss' wife Mia (Uma Thurman) on a date. All goes well until she O.Ds on cocaine and needs a shot of adrenaline courtesy of Lance (Eric Stoltz), a drug dealer who looks like Jesus, one of the many religous references in the film.

Then we see the story of Butch Coolidge (Bruce Willis), a boxer who is paid to take a dive. Instead, he takes the money and does a runner with Marcellus after him.

Is it any wonder Quentin`s screenplay got an Oscar? It`s packed full of foul-mouthed, but quoteworthy dialogue (Vincent and Jules` discussion about European food is worth admission alone). There`s also religous references. Jules blurting out a Bible passage to a terrified victim is one, but the main one concerns a briefcase containing a glowing light.

When we see Marcellus, he has a plaster on the back of his neck, where the devil sucked his soul out. The combination is 666, the mark of the devil. Other examples include Jules quitting the life after believing he has witnessed a miracle. Vincent scoffs at this. Later, Vincent is >killed by Butch, while Jules isn`t. 2 redknecks are killed for sodomy, a truly horrifying sequence I can`t bare to describe. In fact, only 7, the holy number, people die in the film.

The cast is excellent. It is mainly noteworthy for giving John Travolta`s career a revival. After strutting his stuff in classics like Saturday Night Fever and Grease, he made a decade worth of rubbish in the `80s, including the God-awful Look Who`s Talking trilogy. His performance as Vincent Vega secured him an Oscar nomination and got him back in our good books by being cool in Get Shorty, Face/Off and Swordfish. It`ll take a lot to erase the trauma of Battlefield Earth though.

Equally noteworthy is Samuel L. Jackson, who chews up the scenery as Jules. After landing tiny roles in Jungle Fever, Goodfellas and Jurassic Park, this role really stuck out. He`d work with Quentin again as gunrunner Ordell in Jackie Brown. Quentin also saved Bruce Willis` career. He found it hard to repeat the success of Die Hard (except Die Hard 2). After this, he made greats like 12 Monkeys, The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable. Though she`s only in it for about 45 minutes, Uma Thurman shines as Mia. I truly thought that wig was her real hair. She erased the trauma of appearing in 2 of the worst films ever made (Batman and Robin and The Avengers) by cutting people up with a sword in Kill Bill.

Quentin Tarentino, you are a genius of modern cinema. He`s an amatuer, but he`s seen enough movies to know how to make one. He hasn`t made a single bad one yet. Beat that, Speilberg.
