Miami Vice

Miami Vice has a good and tense storyline with twists and turns. The story can roll on a little too long, which kills the suspense during the film, but overall, Miami Vice was a decent film with a good typical action storyline. It was hard to follow in parts, but it still had a great ending with some great action.

Miami Vice provides the same as other films in this genre; dialogue that you cannot understand, a storyline with so many names mentioned, making it impossible to follow, throw in some famous actors, a couple of adult scenes and a victorious ending... I was expecting a lot more from this film, but from the outset I found it hard to follow. Once it had been slightly explained I could understand where the action was going etc., and I did start to enjoy the film about an hour in! Towards the end however, there are some good action, nail biting scenes, and will they won't they save the day moments!

Despite the outset of the film being disappointing, it is jam-packed with awesome special effects, and it can be quiet gruesome (the five minute long shoot out provided quite a bit of gore)!

Overall, it is an OK film. I would recommend people see it. However, maybe just wait until it comes out on DVD.
