Goodnight Joseph Parker Could Have Been A Stage Pl

Goodnight Joseph Parker could have been a stage play as well as a film. It's primarily set in a small downtown and run down bar, where the character's have intertwined history. One Character, Joey has been away for 7 years. He returns and finds the old bar wasn't what it used to be. They argue, fight and drink copious amounts of Jack Daniels. The characters interplay well with each other, in what is an intelligent and engrossing movie of dysfunctional relationships. It's hard to believe this has come out of a country that I've normally thought incapable of semi-arty movies. If you like shoot-em-ups and no brainer's, don't watch this movie.

Both written and directed by Dennis Brooks, he has given us the genius of sultry emotional baggage and nostalgia all in one. I know this will never be a box office smash, but it will always be a good movie.
