Over All Good Film!!! Bit Upsetting And Exciting A
Over all good film!!! Bit upsetting and exciting all in one!! Really takes you in the film into 50 cents life and makes you feel a part of the film!!!
I Saw 50 Cent's Get Rich Or Die Tryin' Movie, And
I saw 50 Cent's Get Rich or Die Tryin' movie, and I have to disagree with the previous reviewers evaluation of this. I'm no Gangsta Style Homeboy, but I thought that this was a decent, watchable film.
The film starts with Fiddy and his crew carrying out an armed robbery, with the Cent getting gunned down by a rival hood shortly afterwards. We are then taken back to his childhood as the story of his troubled upbringing unravels. 50 Cent himself narrates the film, and the kid who plays him in his early years bears a striking resemblance to the G-Unit leader. The tale focuses on his mother's killing and a turbulent relationship with his family, which results in the wannabe rapper turning to crime, and then eventually to music.
It's actually a good story that plays out well on the screen. The many shootings and killings are well played out, and Jackson does a good job on the voice-overs when he's filling in the blanks. The supporting actors are all pretty good, especially Terrence Howard; and I fail to see the accusations of wooden acting in this film. Curtis Jackson himself handles the acting well, and ultimately I feel, did a good job.
There's plenty of action and violence, and that will keep the target audience happy. The music is also good if you're into this kind of thing. My main complaint was that I think the character that 50 Cent plays (Marcus) was somewhat toned down and turned into a 'nice guy.' For instance, just prior to the armed robbery, he declares that he doesn't want anyone to get hurt, and we never actually see him kill anyone. The only person he shoots is a bona-fide crook - I'm sure that wouldn't have been the real story on the streets.
Overall, I enjoyed this film. It is not a masterpiece, but it had the basics that a good film needs. A good story and a decent cast. Better than expected.
Get Rich Or Die Trying Is About A Man Called Marcu
Get Rich or Die Trying is about a man called Marcus (50 Cent) and his life leading up to when he allegedly got shot 9 times. The story leading up to it is pathetic and stupid, it exaggerates his obvious normal life to be full of drug dealing and gang shootings. It also has a stupid storyline suggesting that a rival rap star killed his drug dealing mother.
Get Rich or Die Trying is rubbish. Avoid giving this wanna be gangster money, who, just because he was bullied at school still wants to be a gangster, even though he has pursued many young kids dreams and is now a very famous and rich man, so he really shouldn't bore us with this film.
Kurtis Jackson can carry on with music, but give up film while he's just started.
