Environment Of Bulls Head Pub Is Very Pleasant And

Environment of Bulls Head pub is very pleasant and the bar was 'window dressed' and looked lovely. Food was mediocre. Sunday lunch menu - Yorkshire Puddings with potatoes and veg doesn't constitute a vegetarian option! Service was VERY slow - order taken half an hour after sitting down despite a 1.30 for 2pm booking. Desert ordered with main course yet didn't arrive until, at least, half an hour after completion of main course. Had to ask for table to be cleared. Wouldn't recommend and won't be returning.

The Bull's Head Is Pretty Popular With People In T

The Bull's Head is pretty popular with people in the local area. I've been there a few times and the food is pretty good. They serve mainly pub-grub standards (like beef and ale pie, fish and chips, curry), plus a selection of decent steaks, a few of fish dishes and one or two other things like a rather nice medallions of lamb.

Desserts are a good range of stuff. The lemon meringue pie is good, they do a great sticky toffee pudding and a good range of ice creams. Sunday lunch is good too, especially the two or three course deals the do.

It's a cut above a lot of pubs that do food, so it's worth a visit.

On the down side it isn't really a pub as such as there is nowhere to drink, other than at the bar, with rest of the place given over to diners. They do a decent couple of real ales (I've had a good pint of Cains in here).

It can get busy with people from the area, and I find it is perhaps lacking a little in atmosphere. I also had a curry here one time which I found rather salty, and while the quality is generally good, there is nothing that sets the culinary word a-flambe

More recently the place changed hands (though have apparently kept the same staff) and they have instigated a new, cheaper lunchtime menu which I have yet to try.

If you are in the area, it's worth giving it a go
