Excellent Food And Service.

Thank you to Ali our very attentive waiter. He gave us free glasses of Cava as we had been frequent visitors. On hearing that it was my birthday he arranged for the staff to sing Happy Birthday.

We Managed To Stumble Across This Wonderful Tapas

We managed to stumble across this wonderful Tapas restaurant in the Rambles and what a lovely surprise. Great value and excellent service, make sure you try the Liver ... so soft and smooth, not like you would expect liver to be like at all, we had to order some more. If there is maybe 4 to 6 people then just ask the staff to make a selection for you, maybe picking out a few yourselves. It was so good we went back on the second night.

Really Fantastic Food. Such A Nice Way To Eat, Sha

Really fantastic food. Such a nice way to eat, sharing different plates of tasty morsels. We shared roast lamb, padron peppers, fried artichokes, an omelette and grilled asparagus. All delicious. Then we tried a creamy goat's cheese for dessert and a crispy pancake with anis. Wow. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly and we loved the people watching at the bar. Our best dining experience in Barcelona by a long way.

This Restaurant Is All That Is Great About Barcelo

This restaurant is all that is great about Barcelona. Tucked away in the Gothic area, great location, stone walls, tastefully and warmly decorated. Traditional tapas made to order. We found the food wonderful and not expensive at all. A cut above the rest. We loved the atmosphere, everyone was having fun and enjoying the food and the staff were really nice.

Decent Food With Decent Price, Yet A Poor Experien

Decent food with decent price, yet a poor experience overall. Our waiter added 3 extra dishes that we did not order on our bill and insisted that we had all those dishes when we pointed out that we never ordered nor received the dishes. After about 3 minutes of arguing the manager came over to take care of the situation, but without any apology.

We Got The Recommendation For This Restaurant Out

We got the recommendation for this restaurant out of a travel guide on our first night in Barcelona. We had only just landed and did not want to be wandering around a strange city in the dark with no idea of where to go and this was walking distance from our accommodation.

In any case, it's a very modern restaurant and bar with a varied tapas menu of traditional dishes and their own takes on some cuisine too. They have loads of wonderful salad. We tried (over a couple of visits) a goats cheese salad with some sort of odd fruity jelly, salt cod salad, a rocket and Parmesan salad. They did loads of brilliant fish dishes including lovely fried calamari, steamed mussels, anchovies with caperberries and the most wonderful grilled sardines - whole, ungutted and surprisingly not as vile as you'd have thought, pulling the innards out with your knife. We tried asparagus, mushrooms and my other half had a couple of chorizo and ham dishes. Alongside this was a wonderful wine list, the house red we ordered both times was delicious - a yummy rioja. And the dessert menu was amazing. We only tried one, a white and dark chocolate mousse, but if that one dish was any indication, then the rest were probably OK. I was eying a fruit soup, but was too full.

I would recommend this place wholeheartedly if you're in Barcelona in the Gothic Quarter/Port Vell area. The food was wonderful and the service was friendly and efficient.
