El Horno Restaurant In Playa Blanca Is Affectionat
El Horno restaurant in Playa Blanca is affectionately known as Grandmas. It is located at the bank of the square as is quite small with only about 16 tables. The atmosphere is best described as refined and is best for couples wanting a meal without much noise. It is not suitable for families with young children you get the feeling they would be frowned upon by the both the staff and certainly most customers. It is not cheap to eat here but the food is excellent with the Suckling Pig and Lamb as speciality both costing 14 Euros. Large helpinsg of meat but mean portions of vegetables. You can pay extra for additional portions. Also the Fish and Steak are excellent. The starters are good as well and can recommend the sizzling garlic prawns. The total meal with wine you would expect to pay between 50 and 60 Euros for two people which will include the local taxes which are added to the bill. The service is both efficient and friendly. The service here is at a steady pace neither too quick or too slow. It can sometimes get busy and it may be necessary to book a table especially if you want to eat after 8.30. This is one of our favourite restaurants in Playa Blanca and we will always eat here a couple of times when staying at this resort. We like it because it quiet and the food is good. Customers can be a mixture of nationalities but the greatest percentage are British couples aged 30 and above.
