Don Leone Was One Of A Many Pizza/pasta Restaurant
Don Leone was one of a many pizza/pasta restaurants in Puerto Banus, and our favourite of the stay.
I can't remember seeing an actual Spanish restaurant in this Spanish town! We ate a lot of pizza/pasta fayre on this holiday, partly due to the majority of our contingent being vegetarian.
We went to Don Leone on our first night and it was a great place to sit on the port side and soak up the outrageous and extravagant wealth on show in Puerto Banus. The single lane road that runs along the port front on which many bars and restaurants such as Don Leone's is a poser's paradise with Ferraris, Astons, Porsches and Lambos driving past more regularly than black cabs in London.
Don Leone itself had nice, modern decor and pretty good service. the prices are reasonable by Puerto standards but still around 12 euro for a bowl of pasta (plenty of margin in that price!) but the food was very tasty and the perfect antidote to a troublesome journey from London.
Overall a great location and much better food, better service and less tables crammed into each square metre than the overrated Picasso's a few doors down.
