Verdi's, Swansea

I go here regularly.

Brilliantly located on the Prom, you can sit inside or outside and enjoy the relaxed cafe bar atmosphere of Verdi's.

Prices are not cheap, but I always feel a bit pampered for having had a soup or sandwich here while watching the world go by.

To order, find yourself a table, note the number then go inside and order a the cash desk (queues can be prohibitive, but who's rushing?) then wait for your food to be served. Tables outside can be scarce in good weather (the inverse is true on rainy days).

They serve sandwiches, soups, pasta dishes (a "specials" blackboard is positioned inside the entrance) plus lots of Italian desserts. Beers, wine, milkshakes, soft drinks and Italian coffees are also served.

They also have an separate ice cream shop on the side of the restaurant. I LOVE good ice cream, and Verdi's ice creams certainly meet my expectations.

Free parking is possible on the road, otherwise you can park in the pay and display.
