Mr.Cook do u actuallly see the meat you are cooking even if you blind! you can smell it.

in conclusion i boought (immodium) on the way home as i know what the result would be.

The Event Was A Sunday Lunch With Both Sets Of Inl

The event was a Sunday lunch with both sets of inlaws-to-be. My idea of hell. This old roadside tavern has been tastefully decorated and is now open plan but retains a sense of history. Clean wooden tables and chunky wooden chairs provided a relaxed almost farmhouse kitchen feel. A dinrk in the bar area first before heading for our pre-booked table. We were at the furthest end of the room which in theory would have been perfect as we were planning on discussing our imminent wedding. This area was tastefully cobbled but did little to dull the slightly overly-lowed "fore-ground" music beaten only in volume by the screaming kid opposite! The food was a three meat carvery - the meat freshly sliced in front of you (you could chooose to have slice of all three if you wanted!). The meat was tasty, the veg a mixed bag. Boiled new potatoes perfect, roasties ok, Yorkies from a packet. The swede mash was more water than vegetable and carrots way over cooked. The gravy was nice and it was an ok experience - but it just could have been a bit better for £9 per head before drinks. WIll return to try the bar menu proper as it has promise, just some gliches.
