Thai elephant, Swansea

Took a while to get served, but food was fantastic and def worth the wait. Will return again next time I'm in Swansea!

I recently eat at the Thai Elephant, Swansea.

There was plenty full choice on the menu and my food was delicious.

However the service was not great.

I had to wait over half hour before we could order drinks. It took another 15 minutes to bring the drinks once ordered, with no apology for the wait.

When we were finally given menu's, after asking, it took a whole 40 minutes for a main meal to arrive, which was wrong and had to be sent back, however as the food was very tasty it was worth the wait.

We then got asked did we want the bill, while we were still eating our main meal. We didn't get offered any coffee or desserts and as it was busy we felt like we were rushed out of there.

I would visit again because the food was very nice and I liked the surroundings and atmosphere, and I am prepared to give the staff another chance to improve their service. As customer service is so important in the restaurant business.

Very authentic feel of Thailand inside with friendly waiting staff. The food was excellent - I had the panang curry which was fantastic. A little taste of what my dining companions were eating confirmed I would have been happy to have had any of their dishes. Great food, nice location, thumbs up.

Nice place for a lunchtime meal but definately not for an evening out.

Found the setting quite cramped and the tables dirty with cutlery placed directly on dirty surface!

Was dissapointed as had heard good things from friends.

Service was pleasant and efficient. Food was ok but not as good as other Chinese/Cantonese restaraunts that I have experieced in Swansea .

Overall not a place I would visit again soon!
