I Know People Will Think I Have A Pecuniary Intere

I know people will think I have a pecuniary interest in this place but I don't! I just can't believe how good it is. On arrival they welcomed me, asked how my bandaged hand was and then recommended the special of braised beef in red wine - fresh on the menu today. Blimey. thickly sliced roast beef in a rich onion and red wine sauce with a generous side plate of thinly cut half roasted half fried unpeeled potatoes (plenty of nutrients left in there!), and spiced brocollie al dente and carrot juliene. Fabulous! All for under £6. Incredibly good value. It's now my Cardiff Bay secret hang out! Don't tell anyone will you!!!

Several Businesses Have Failed At This Setting Lar

Several businesses have failed at this setting largely because it is just a stones throw away from the heart of the Cardiff Bay eatery jungle. It's a fab place, on two floors, with lovely wooden seating, flooring and bar.

The staff were fabulously friendly and welcoming on this first visit. Playing safe I went with the day's special of a chicken rogan josh. The standard menu is very 'standard' (find it on the web) so I thought I'd see what they could do.

I was really impressed - amazingly well presented on an oblong plate divided into three - cardamon scented rice, dark fragrant chicken in sauce and a really well dressed and fresh mixed salad.

The rogan josh was beautifully flavoured - spiced without being hot or heavy for a workday lunch and very much complemented by both the rice and that really good salad!

I told the manager how much I'd enjoyed the meal to be then greeted by the chef on my way out - a bonus! I'll be going back next week. The specials board seem to be a safe bet. Today they were offering around 4 dishes including a spiced tomato soup with bread roll at £3.00 (ish) which would be good on a cold day.

As I said this was a first visit so can't compare the place but I was genuinely impressed. I hope this venture works and that more people turn up - as I was the only diner on this occasion - and they still got it spot on!!
