They closed this location again. The building is now for rent. This restaurant has closed. If you want great Chicago Style food, try Sweet Home CHICAGO at 59th Avenue and Bell. They have the best Chicago Style food including tamales and pizza puffs. The dogs and beef are second to none.

Don't Expect A Fancy Place; I Eat At The One Near

Don't expect a fancy place; I eat at the one near the south west corner Dobson and Guatelupe which used to be someone else's fast food place; It is a bit shabby on the outside but clean on the inside; not sure why, but the drive through seems to have more customers than those eating in.Fresh rolls and buns; hotdogs taste a lot like Portillo's of Chicagoland fame; Italian Beef very good too; reasonable prices; plenty of parking; outdoor shaded eating; quiet place the two times I ate there for a late lunch

Z's Has Great Italian Beefs. They Are The Most Aut

Z's has great Italian Beefs. They are the most Authentic Beefs that I've found in Arizona. They use the real stuff from Chicago (I saw the packaging. The owner showed it to us when we were there). Most places here make their own, even though they have the Vienna signs up. This place really uses Vienna and Gonnella bread. If you want a great Beef sandwich this is the place. Remember to get it dipped.

I have driven by Z's Chicago Style Hot Dogs in Phoenix, and it seems like it's never open. There is usually only one car in the lot. Anyway, it was okay. It was a little expensive for the type of food if you ask me. It looks like the reviews are commercials for this place. The owners must write these things up. There are a few better places in town for Chicago stuff that I will stick to for now.

Basically, Z's Chicago Style Restaurants Are A Gre

Basically, Z's Chicago style restaurants are a great idea for a restaurant in the Phoenix area, but with very poor execution. The prices are too out of line for the quality, too expensive, and they charge for drink refills (a bad move). It makes me want to open a similar restaurant and improve on these things. I can't see how this place will make it, because I have not seen a lot of customers there on any of my visits, and after four visits I will probably not return either.

Reviewer is wrong, this place serves a great hot dog, fries and Italian Beefs. Not sure what she's talking about but refills are free (even have signs posted). Kinda weird she doesn't like this place yet has gone back 4 times according to her review. I own my own business and I hate when people make up stuff thats not true.

tannedtiger

I believe this reviewer is incorrect, as I have visited the restaurant numerous times and have seen them busy at lunch. Some points in their review which are incorrect, soda refills are free there is even a sign that states so, the tamales they sell you can not buy in the stores, I've contacted Supreme tamale numerous times and no one sells their brand here except for this restaurant and finally I think this is the best dog I've ever tasted! Interesting this person has written 3 reviews on the place all saying the exact same thing on different sites, yet claims been back 4 times, I would totally question the authentiticy of their review myself. I personally hate when people try to hurt a new business, being a business owner myself. Check it out for yourself would be my recommendation and make your own judgement as I've talked to co-workers who have visited the place numerous times, and who have all said they enjoy the food!

Looks like the owner is putting up their own posts again, every comment that is negative about this place gets a reply defending it bashing the original customer. I have been there and its not very good. Also, We8there.com caught the owner and said it was the worst case of fraud posting fake names on this place.

Don't know if they have new owners, but $5 for a dog with all the trimmings, frys and a drink isn't bad, not sure what you mean that they are over priced. I found them to be very competitive and they are MUCH better than the rest of the places that 'claim' to be from Chicago but use local stuff. I was just in Chicago and ate at Portillios and looking at their take out menu their prices are almost the same as Z's

annariggs

Does this place have new ownership? I noticed that it went out of business recently due to being locked out by the landlord, i noticed they are re-opened, still too expensive for that type of food, I don't expect them to last.
