Poor cooking. Small portion of fish platter, overcooked. Battered polock was alright. Wine simply disgusting, bottle came already open, no tasting.

The Jurassic Seafood Winebar is a wonderful restaurant serving completely fresh and locally caught or sourced ingredients. Fish is obviously the speciality but plenty of alternatives including vegetarian and childrens menus. This is one of the best restaurants in the area - best to book as very popular with both local and visiting customers.

I always like an open plan dining area when you can see the chef and its nice to see the food being prepared.

Service was very friendly with just the right amount of contact with the diner. Also it was great to have a little interaction with the chef to determine any cooking preferences, I prefer scallops cooked simply with a little butter and garlic and a splash of white wine. I dont know about the wine but they were cooked perfectly and some of the nicest i have had for a couple of years! I went for Brill as a main and a generous slab of caught on the day fish was again cooked deliciously. Veggies again perfectly cooked lightly. I almost didnt take my wife for the meal due to the poor review on this site, but then I saw it was years ago, not even the same staff there I believe. Price-wise, I would say it was on the high side of reasonable and wine was not silly money for a good selection. This place is a find, and we shall be returning again for sure!

Well worth a visit as it has that local atmosphere.

The fish at Jurassic Seafood Winebar comes from the owner's fishing boat and local fishing boats working out of Lyme Harbour and steaks are fresh from a local farm. The atmosphere is friendly. The kids love it! Nice to see fresh fish, cooked simply.

Jurassic Seafood Winebar - I had a terrible meal there - the waitress was friendly but had no clue what she was doing. She was unclear about what each dish was, and had no clue about the drinks list. They bought out the wrong food and the risotto was foul.

One of our party had an allergy to peanuts and Satay had been labeled as 'thai sauce'.

Avoid this place at all costs!
