The Duke Public House and Dining Room - Richmond

I've eaten at The Duke in Richmond twice now and both times have had a very good meal at lunchtime. They have a great £7.50 lunch offer which is normally a choice between 3 meals plus a glass of wine, beer or soft drink. The first time I had the duck egg with bubble and squeak. What a great little meal! With a gorgeous dippy middle spilling over onto a serving of well seasoned and lightly fried bubble and squeak and a side helping of greens. Really nice. I went back with a friend last week and they had moules marinieres and I was expecting a small serving but got a huge dish of massive mussels in a delicious sauce with plenty of homemade bread to sop it all up. Yum. Definately will be going again to see what the menu has in store next time.
