Joy Indian Restaurant - Surbiton

Joy was always my favourite Indian in Surbiton. The menu is really wide ranging and the food is, by and large delicious. I was a happy customer for well over a year, ate in and got take out and never really considered going to any of the other Indians that are within 50m of their door!

Recently their have been a couple of things that have led us to try one of their competitors who have so far been very good and we will continue to use for the time being.

Firstly they have changed one of their dishes that we were particularly fond of. This is very pendatic (but hey, i am a fickle consumer) but they have changed the recipe for their potato paratha, which was delicious nad is now limp. They also messed up an order that we made a few weeks back hence the move away to try another restaurant.

I do genuinely like the banter with the staff when you go in to pick uop your food (no delivery, but you do get a beer with pick up) but our head has now been turned!

As you can see from the ratings given, the place is good and i would not hesitate to return.
