Hart's Boat Yard Surbiton / Kingston

Hart's Boat Yard is a great restaurant / pub on the river Thames which is perfect for that summer pint... This venue has become increasingly popular of late and on nice sunny days it is now almost impossible to get a seat outside. If you are of course lucky enough to find somewhere to perch, then you are treated to a great view of the river, one way leading up to Hampton Court and the other leading down to Kingston. Hart's Boat Yard is not pretentious in anyway and has a nice relaxed ambience. It sells a good range of continental chilled lagers as well as the more traditional beers and it also has a very good reasonably priced restaurant upstairs. The menu is varied which is great and I guess would be described as 'modern pub food'. You can choose from nice comfort type home cooked meals to more refined fish dishes so there should be something there for everyone's taste. Don't think that Hart's Boat Yard is just a pub for the summer though as in the winter if you're lucky you can grab a seat by the open fire which is just great.A couple of words of advice - if you want a window seat in the restaurant at the weekend then I would advise you to book at least a week in advance! Lastly, the car park is not huge so it may be best to walk to the pub if possible.
