We Had A Table For Two On The Evening Of Sat12feb

We had a table for two on the evening of Sat12Feb in the Thai Tanee, Longfield. Having seen their details on the web. The restaurant on walking in was bright almost canteen style. The staff friendly & polite. We waited some time before we were attended to and were not offered drinks prior to ordering. We chose well known Thai dishes from the also unexpected Chinese menu. Starter Tom Yum soup was almost tasteless and was more like cheap tomato slimmer soup. Jungle Curry was a bowl of watery gravy with mild chilli added and boiled veg & meat. The Pad Thai noodles appeared to have been flavoured with Tomato Sauce and MSG. The Panang Curry was the best effort. In all a poor Thai meal that appears to have been cooked Chinese style. Around us Chinese dishes were being served that looked nice. At no point were we asked if the food was OK. Sadly we have tasted better from a Thai hot food stand and will make that our last visit. I feel the owners need to make their mind up and specialise either Thai OR Chinese and stick with it.
