Fisherman's Wharf In Southend On Sea, July 2010:
Fisherman's Wharf in Southend on Sea, July 2010:
Very disappointing from start to finish.
Staff unfriendly, restaurant not very clean. Had to wait ages for our food.
Kid's portion of fish and chips and regular fish and chips were the same size. Chips were soggy and cold. Side salad was arranged very artistically, but leaves were dry and tomatoes didn't taste of anything. Shell fish spaghetti were drowning in a watery sauce of milky colour, king prawns were apparently defrosted and came in the tiniest of portions.
This experience of a restaurant directly loacted on the Kentish coast and advertising to offer 'sensational seafood' was appalling. Cannot be recommended.

Fisherman's Wharf Is Terrible For A Supposed Fish
Fisherman's Wharf is terrible for a supposed fish restaurant on the coast of Kent.
Although afforded a friendly reception, we should have known better by looking at the uncleaned tables.
Starters of deep fried Whitebait tasted awful and the garlic bread was drenched in butter and therefore soggy.
My main course of fried cod consisted of a mass produced half fillet deep fried in breadcrumbs with string fries. The cod was tasteless and tiny - any high street fish and chip shop would have been better. My wife had the tiniest Tiger Prawns that we'd ever seen, with Thai Rice in a dish that was dressed up as gourmet and not very tasty.
The price with a glass of wine and Coke was £37.65!
