Heron On The Lake, Fleet, Hampshire

The "Heron on the Lake" is a nice pub / restaurant located overlooking Fleet pond, in Hampshire. The pub is very well presented, clean and tidy, and it has a nice charm about it. The decor is "old English", warm and inviting.

It's a family friendly pub, but also caters for those who want that bit of privacy when dining.

The views overlooking the pond are fantastic and made full use of by decking that goes all the way round the outside of the building. It's lovely sat outside on a Summer's evening having a few drinks.

The menu is good, and has a wide selection covering traditional pub food and offers something slighty different from the specials board, which seems to be regularly updated.

I've eaten here quite a few times, and just recently haven't been too impressed with the food. However, on other occasions i've been more than happy. I suppose it depends what dish you choose, so always ask the staff, they've always been very friendly and polite.
