Yann's Crieff, Perthshire

We arrived at Yann's to discover that depsite booking for 7:30pm we had to wait in a lounge area for over one hour for our table.

The reservations system seemed chaotic with everyone seemingly setaed at the same time.

Service at the table was not much better, with drinks taking 15+ minutes and the time between courses in excess of 20-25 minutes. The staff are clearly not very competent and the front-of-house management is non-existent.

That would all have been bearable had the food been good, but unfortunately it too was a major disappointment. One of the signature dishes - tariflette - tasted as if it had been made with mass-produced liquid cheese - and the steak was very fatty.

Very disappointing.
