I Went To An 18th Birthday Party Which Was £

I went to an 18th birthday party which was £6.50 a head. The buffet consisted of rice with apricots & peppers, potatos with mayonaise, chicken legs with sauce poured over them & sandwiches made with the thinnest, cheapest slices of bread & the fillings were so slim in them you struggled to even to tell what they were, people were picking up 2 pieces of bread from different sandwiches because they was so little in them. Everyone I spoke to didnt eat anything much at the buffet & were not impressed & would never hold an event there. I was due to have a function there for my daughters christening & was told the room was air conditioned which it later came out it was not & they have refused to give me back my £200 holding money for the room even thou I was never told this was a non-refundabe deposit. I have tried many times to make contact, they hang up the phone on me, speak to me in an unproffessional manner & refuse to have a meeting with me. also sent back letters unopened I have sent recoreded delivery.

This is not how I expect to be treated by any company.

I Took A Chance On Jack's At The Island For A Frie

I took a chance on Jack's At The Island for a friend's 30th birthday meal and we were delighted with our choice. Our friend had a wonderful night and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food, which we felt was the hard work of a very skilled chef! I asked the waiter to put some candles on my friend's pudding, which they did and it was presented to us by a singing waiter!

The views are breath taking from the restaurant, and most tables would have a good view. I would like to go back for lunch one day to see the view in the daylight. I would suggest the council look at some fairy lights which would be even better!

This place certainly works hard to make sure you have an excellent dining experience, and I felt well taken care of! They don't hover over you whilst you are eating, which is a pet hate of mine but if you need anything they are always attentive.

I would certainly recommend this restaurant for a romantic meal or just a pleasant night out with great tasting food.
