Having Been Passed Pzaz In Bramhall On Many Occasi
Having been passed Pzaz in Bramhall on many occasions, I thought it about time that I gave this attractive looking restaurant a sample.
So, I told the Mrs I was taking her out for the night and off we popped to give Pzaz a try. Having never been to a Mediterranean restaurant before I was somewhat cautious about trying this place, however after speaking to my sister (a Pzaz regular) and having a look at their menu, I was more than willing to give it a chance. It's a fair sized but not extensive menu and there were a few different dishes I liked the look of and there was plenty of variation for people with different tastes.
We sat outside, out of choice, as it was a lovely evening. I would definitely recommend this, although in fairness the inside looks very pleasant also. A nice part of sitting outside is that they have excellent outdoor heaters so when it gets a bit nippier you don't feel the cold.
Anyway, onto the food, which was pretty good. We had a garlic bread for starters, this wasn't great but was okay. However a bit flimsy compared to a garlic bread at your typical Italian restaurant. They have a great deal on between 5pm-8pm Monday to Thursday where you can order 2 main courses for £12.95, we took advantage of this and had a pizza each from the menu. Both myself and my girlfriend enjoyed our main course, however it came a bit too quickly after the starter had been taken away. A ten minute gap would have been nice to let the starter digest properly. The pizzas though were very nice and we finished our main course happy.
Pzaz also serve a good selection of desserts and we also enjoyed this part of the meal.
The service we received all night was second to none, very attentive and it was safe to safe I was never left with an empty glass of Peroni or wine. This was reflected in the best tip I have given out for some time.
Overall, Pzaz gets the thumbs up. While I'm not a fully fledged convert to Mediterraean food (Italian still floats my boat), I have to say it was a very enjoyable dining experience and I wouldn't hesitate to go again at some stage in the future.
