My Wife And I Thought The Fixed Price Menu At Mcco
My wife and I thought the fixed price menu at McCoys Bistro sounded like excellent value so we decided to eat here.Sadly we were to be disappointed. The portions were tiny and the flavours were bland. My view is that regardless of being on the fixed price or a la carte menu the food should still be top drawer - don't simply put apparently poor selling items on the fixed price menu.I felt the service also left a lot to be desired - a wait of over 15 minutes for the bill is hardly conducive to the fast paced bistro style dining the place is supposed to represent. We drank a passable white wine but if you'd prefer beer, it seemed expensive - the local Wylam or Tyneside bitters will set you back 5.25 a bottle. Thats half a litre, not a pint.On this showing I think the bistro owners of France can rest easy in their beds.
