I was very disappointed with Hollathans. From the outside it looks cosy and clean, however it is far from this! The food was overly priced and what is on the menu is not what you got. We ordered Thai chicken burgers, but unfortunately what we got was a soggy stale bread bun, with tough chicken that looked like plastic, with a runny bland sauce and cold veggies on the side. I will be very shocked if a chef was present in that kitchen. The tables were sticky, and there was no cutlery on the table. In fact, after we received the food we had to ask for cutlery! The service was slow and the staff seemed disinterested. And what's more, when we were going over the bill we realised that they had charged us for items that we did not consume!

Hollathons Restaurant In Durham Looks Nice From Th
Hollathons restaurant in Durham looks nice from the outside. When you get in you always have a long wait for the food. Prices like theirs (£6.75 for a burger) should really merit quicker service or bread brought to the table while you wait. It is staffed by very young kids at the weekend. I had a tuna salad and it was just canned tuna and salad mixed up, but my husband and daughter enjoyed their burger. I go every six months or so hoping they will improve, but they never do. The toilets are cramped, and one of the two ladies toilets was broken. One toilet for a huge restaurant!
