I Went To Mien Tay On Lavender Hill After Reading

I went to Mien Tay on Lavender Hill after reading several fantastic reviews. We went there is a fairly large group and ordered quite a selection of dishes from their menu. I would have quite likes to just have them bring out a selection of their best dishes and i think this is what i will do next time i go back. The food is great value for money and the restaurant allows you to bring your own drinks so its possible to have a pretty cheap evening. I didnt think that the selection of food that we ordered did the restaurant justice. The summer rolls were delicious, as was the pork in honey and spices. There was a goat with chilli and lemon grass that was also lovely, but nothing else really stood out. Much of the food was deep fried and i could taste the garlic for about 3 days afterwards. I will definitely give this restaurant another go though, because some of the food really shone, so i think it is my ordering that needs to be refined. The dishes that weren't deep fried were lovely and i would love to try one of the claypots. Worth a try but also worth taking some time over the menu and asking for advice.
